Information we collect
- Contact details you share , name, email, phone and your message when you use our contact form or chat.
- Operational info , if we work together, we may process business contact details, device IDs, and configuration data needed to deliver the service.
- Usage & analytics , page views, events, UTM parameters, approximate location, device/browser info. We use GA4 and consent-aware pixels.
- Logs , our hosting provider keeps basic server logs for security and debugging.
How we use your information
- Respond to enquiries and provide quotes.
- Deliver and support our services (e.g., backups, monitoring, helpdesk).
- Improve our site and measure what content helps visitors.
- Run consent-based marketing (e.g., LinkedIn/Meta remarketing when allowed).
- Meet legal, tax and security obligations.
Legal basis: consent, performance of a contract, and legitimate interest (e.g., site security and service improvement). We follow POPIA and, for EU/UK visitors, align with GDPR principles.
Third-party services we use
- EmailJS , sends contact-form/chat notifications to our inbox.
- Google reCAPTCHA , protects forms from spam; use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy & Terms.
- Zoho Mail / Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 , email, documents and client files we manage for work.
- Hosting & CDN , our hosting provider processes traffic & security logs.
These providers act as processors on our behalf. We only share what’s necessary to run the service.
Data retention
- Contact enquiries: typically 24 months.
- Analytics events: per GA4 defaults (usually 14–26 months).
- Client records: as required for contracts and law (e.g., tax).
Security
We use HTTPS, least-privilege access, MFA, encryption at rest where supported, and regular updates. We also practice backup hygiene and restore testing.
International transfers
Some providers store data in the EEA, UK or US. Where applicable, we rely on contractual safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information. You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies any time via .
