Troubleshooting

URL rejected
Use a complete public http:// or https:// URL. Remove credentials and check for unsupported or malformed characters.
Redirect rejected
A redirect is checked as a new destination. It may be blocked if it resolves to a private, local, internal, credential-bearing, or otherwise unsafe target.
Unsafe or private destination rejected
LaunchGuard does not test private, loopback, link-local, internal, or other unsafe network destinations. Use a public target you are authorized to assess.
Request timeout
The public service may not have responded within the bounded request window. Check the target directly and try the specific check again later.
Response too large
LaunchGuard caps response size. Reduce the submitted path to a representative public page or inspect the response size outside LaunchGuard.
DNS record not found
Confirm the record type and hostname. DNS changes can take time to propagate and resolver caches can temporarily differ.
DKIM selector unknown
Supply the selector used by the domain's mail system. Selectors cannot normally be enumerated reliably from public DNS.
Browser and report results differ
CDNs, geolocation, caching, redirects, and bot-management rules can return different responses to different clients.
Temporary rate limit
Pause and retry later. Do not automate around the limit or split a bulk scan across repeated requests.
